Another Day … Another …

Another Day … Another …

I was asked, ‘How was the Marathon (Royal Victoria Marathon)?’  my first instinctive and pat reply was ‘Easy’ ‘What???? You may be the first person that says that after 42.2 K!’ came the retort.
Though my body was sore, muscles heavy, what made the reply as such, not arrogance or ego or pride.
During my Transformational Leadership programs based on Steven Covey, one of habits I do emphasis about is Habit 7 – Sharpen the Saw. I have mentioned in my running journey ‘it does not get easier, you get stronger’ and it’s all about habits and a disciplined mindset
Though the last three weeks leading to the marathon had not been productive, I had decided trust the journey that running had got me to so far, to take it easy and to enjoy the sights & sounds of Victoria
Ovid “Nothing is stronger than habit.”
One writer said that the door of history turns on small hinges, and so do people’s lives. If we were to apply that maxim to our lives, we could say that we are the result of many small decisions. In effect, we are the product of our choices.
What you repeatedly do (i.e. what you spend time thinking about and doing each day) ultimately forms the person you are, the things you believe, and the personality that you portray. Everything I write about – from procrastination and productivity to strength and nutrition – starts with better habits. When you learn to transform your habits, you can transform your life.
Your life today is essentially the sum of your habits. How in shape or out of shape you are? A result of your habits. How happy or unhappy you are? A result of your habits. How successful or unsuccessful you are? A result of your habits.
